Committees

Executive Board Committee - The heartbeat of the organization, the Executive Board provides the strategic vision and administrative oversight for the DFNO. This team manages the organization’s finances, sets long-term goals, and ensures that all activities align with our mission to preserve the DeLaine family legacy.

Nominating Committee - Tasked with ensuring the future of our leadership, this committee identifies and recruits talented family members to serve in official roles. They manage the elections process, ensuring it is fair, transparent, and representative of the family’s diverse strengths.

Region Committees - Our family is spread far and wide! Region Committees serve as local hubs, connecting family members living in specific geographic areas. They help organize local meet-ups, maintain regional contact lists, and ensure that every relative, no matter where they live, feels connected to the national organization.

Ad Hoc Committees:

• Reunion Committee - The "boots on the ground" for our annual gatherings. This team handles the heavy lifting of logistics, including hotel negotiations, banquet menus, transportation, and registration. Their goal is to ensure a seamless and joyful experience for every attendee.

• Scholarship Committee - Dedicated to supporting the next generation of DeLaine leaders, this committee manages the educational grant process. They review applications, verify academic achievements, and identify the distribution of funds to family members pursuing higher education and vocational training. 

• Events Planning Committee - While the Reunion Committee focuses on the "where," this team focuses on the "what." They design the weekend’s programming, from the Friday Night Meet-and-Greet to the Saturday Gala, ensuring we have a balance of fun, history, and spiritual connection. 

• Outreach Committee - No cousin left behind! The Outreach Committee focuses on finding "lost" family members and welcoming new additions. They manage the master family directory and send out cards for birthdays, bereavements, and milestones to keep the family spirit alive year-round. 

• Social media Committee - This tech-savvy team keeps us connected in the digital age. They manage the family’s presence on platforms like Facebook and Instagram, post real-time updates during events, and create engaging content to keep the family informed and excited between reunions.
